PRODUCT DATA SHEET

ZS500KMnO4 AND ZK406KMnO4 Air Filtration Media

Oxidizes acid gases • controls odors • protects perishable commodities• contains more KMnO4 and generates less dust than alumina-based products • is non-flammable

Description:

Permanganate coated zeolites are a new air filtration media specifically designed to oxidize gaseous pollutants such as: hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, formaldehyde, ethylene, mercaptans, aldehydes and alcohols. They were developed for use in air dryers, scrubber tanks, compressor intakes, exhaust systems, computer rooms and general HVAC applications. Pound per pound, these products provide 25-50% more active ingredients than alumina-based products.

ZK406KMnO4 is made from a potassium clinoptilolite mineral possessing a significant molecular sieve sorption capacity and is impregnated with 6% potassium permanganate by weight. ZK500KMnO4 is made from a sodium chabazite mineral possessing a significant molecular sieve sorption capacity and is impregnated with 5% potassium permanganate by weight. The properties of the aluminosilicate substrate include:
