O2 is a SURFACTANT, EMULSIFIER , DISPERSANT AND ENCAPSULANT blended and
reacted to form a product specifically designed for hydrocarbon mitigation.
O2 is a natural attenuation, biodegradable, non-toxic and non-corrosive liquid. When
mixed with fresh, hard or salt water, O2 emulsifies and encapsulates the hydrocarbons
instantly on contact - suppressing vapors, neutralizing fuels and suppressing combustion.
O2 breaks oil and grease, including vegetable, animal and fish oils, into microscopic
particles, surrounding each oil droplet with water (an oxygen source). The microbes then
enter these microscopic oil droplets and begin breaking down the hydrocarbon chains. O2
mixed with water, gives the microbes their needed oxygen, moisture, nutrient and a neutral
pH. O2 helps create an ideal environment for the microbes so that they, in turn, may do
their work of changing the contaminant into carbon dioxide and water. O2 greatly speeds up
the biodegradation time-line.
O2 attenuates and encapsulates light aromatics such as BTEX and gasoline and petroleum
based products, JP grades, aviation gas, kerosene, diesel fuel. O2 works on heavy
hydrocarbons as well, depending on the application and the heat. The encapsulation
properties of O2 mixed with water prohibit normal V.O.C. release.
