Arsenic Remediation In 2000 GSA Resources created an affiliated company, Element 33, LLC to commercialize a technology developed by the University of South Florida and licensed from Clean Water Technologies, Inc. for arsenic remediation. GSA Resources also began supplying a surfactant modified zeolite product for the treatment of trace organics and anions under the trade name ZK406SMZ. This product has had good success and was used effectively at the Royce Kelly Pit, an EPA Superfund site near Oklahoma City, OK. Modular Water Treatment System Specialty Cementatious Systems In 2002 GSA Resources, Inc. signed an agreement with C2C Zeolites, a Canadian public company, for the use of GSA Resources, Inc. zeolites in the production of specialty cementatious systems developed by C2C. A notice of this transaction was published in Industrial Minerals Magazine. Continued testing of the products is underway and initial planning and permitting for a production facility has started. Zeolite Australia has joined this effort giving global coverage for the production of this product. Dan Eyde, President of GSA Resources, Inc., joined the Board of Directors of C2C. Cat Litter In March 2003, GSA Resources, Inc. formed Cat Applied Technology, LLC. The purpose of the organization is to commercialize an indicating cat litter. The product can provide a color indication of a cat’s health when incorporated into the litter box. |

Nanocomposite Materials In 2001 GSA Resources, Inc. licensed a technology from Argonne National Laboratory for the production of ultra pure mineral products and the modification of those products into mineral materials suitable for use in the production of nanocomposite materials. Many of the products evaluated are based on the saponite product at Burro Creek, which GSA Resources, Inc. controls. Initial results of testing of materials created using this technology show good results in creating unique barrier properties when used in films, improvements in film properties when used in paints and unusual reinforcement properties in other plastic systems. Zeolite Sales Shipments in 2003 of all GSA Resources, Inc. zeolite products are projected to be 1500-2000 tons. American Soil Technologies, Inc. could have major sales of our products in their patented Agriblend formulation for water and nutrient aid retention. Sales of this product are projected to exceed $1,500,000. This material is a patented blend, which uses the GSA Resources, Inc. high potassium ZK406H. Sales of products used in odor control http://www.gsaodorcontrol.com/ are also expected to grow in 2003. Sales of combined odor control and adsorbent refrigeration applications, to packagers for both the commercial and home markets, continue to be a growing market. M&S Natural Products will begin packaging these products onsite at the GSA Resources, Inc. facilities. The packaging operations will be online in late April 2003. Finally, GSA Resources, Inc. added substantially to its reserve base at Bowie in 2002, by acquiring the chabazite reserves held by Ash Meadows Zeolite, LLC a subsidiary of Badger Mining Company. This leaves UOP and GSA Resources, Inc as the two companies controlling 90-95% of the chabazite reserve at the Bowie Deposit. A brief review of the properties of the Bowie chabazite follows in a brief article by Dr. Kuznicki. Articles of Interest Bowie Sodium Chabazite The “Missing Link” For Natural Zeolites? The Bowie chabazite is a unique industrial mineral resource. Unlike most natural zeolite deposits chabazite from the Bowie, AZ deposit can produce extremely consistent zeolite raw material for high value-added applications or can be modified to produce enhanced performance materials superior to synthetic molecular sieve products.
