Ted and Dan Eyde are focused on developing new products. GSA Resources has introduced surface modified and coated zeolite and diatomite products, which are used to remove oils and organic compounds from water, as well as heavy metals like chrome, arsenic and thallium. Other additions to the product line are blended and coated zeolite products used to suppress odors and sorb or oxidize gases such as ethylene and ammonia. GSA Resources is working to secure funding for the construction of a facility to produce an expanded product line that will include activated chabazite beads and extrudates. Test products are being produced for customer acceptance and evaluation.

Ted Eyde started GSA Resources in 1976. His son Dan joined the company in 1979. Then in 1987 a once in a lifetime opportunity occurred. The Davison Chemical Company exited the specialty adsorbent business. The Grace mine at Bowie was offered to GSA Resources who immediately purchased the property. During the first year of operation sales amounted to only 600 lbs. The chabazite was used to recover silver from a bleed off stream at an electrolytic copper refinery in Arizona. Despite the slow start, the sales in 1998 increased to 1.5 million lbs. of activated, water washed and coated granular zeolite products used in sorption, radioactive waste treatment, odor control, desiccants and specialty ion exchange applications.
