SM1200H is a white magnesium smectite clay refined from carefully selected, high brightness, natural occurring deposits. SM1200 is processed and supplied in a 200-mesh powder, ideal for improving green strength, binding and rheology control in ceramic pieces requiring body and texture. Fires white and reduces breakage in white body ceramics and substitute for up to 30-weight percent hectorite in many formularies.
